Compressed Natural Gas

CNG is made by compressing natural gas, which is mainly composed of methane (CH4), to less than 1% of the volume it occupies at standard atmospheric pressure. It is stored and distributed in hard containers at a pressure of 200-250barg (2,900–3,600 psi), usually in cylindrical or spherical shapes.

Compressed natural gas is a fuel that can be used in place of petrol (gasoline), diesel fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). CNG combustion produces fewer undesirable gases than the aforementioned fuels. In comparison to other fuels, natural gas poses less of a threat in the event of a spill, because it is lighter than air and disperses quickly when released.

CNG is used in traditional petrol/internal combustion engine automobiles that have been modified, or in vehicles specifically manufactured for CNG use: either alone (dedicated), with a segregated petrol system to extend range (dual fuel), or in conjunction with another fuel such as diesel (bi-fuel).

In response to high fuel prices and environmental concerns, CNG is starting to be used also in Auto-Rickshaws, pickup trucks, transit and school buses, and trains.

Compressed Natural Gas at PT DGAS ALAM SEMESTA

DGAS is the 1st company to receive a CNG Trading License in Indonesia. It has a CNG compression mother station Cikarang, West Java. With a compression capacity of 7.2 MMscfd, it can support the natural gas need of customers not covered by piped gas networks. As CNG is a mobile supply chain (virtual pipeline), DGAS can deliver natural gas within 200 kilometers from the CNG mother station.

Our Business Models

Is a transaction of CNG gas sales by PT. DGAS Alam Semesta with customers who already have an agreement with the delivery point at the Mother Station location of PT. DGAS Alam Semesta.

We ensure that we have conducted screening before filling our customers’ FOBs at the DGAS main station, the customer’s gas mobile (GTM) or Tubeskid units have been confirmed to be in good condition and suitable for filling.

With total of 5  filling poles and dispenser CNG, we can guarantee to our FOB customer filling in time as scheduled and not queue.

Is a transaction of CNG Gas sales by PT. DGAS and customer who already have an agreement with the delivery point at customer CIF site location. CNG Processing and from DGAS Mother Station and delivering using trucking CNG own by DGAS, we guarantee best quality CNG with excellent performance delivery will arrive in time.

is a transaction between DGAS and industrial customer. DGAS will process CNG at DGAS mother station, and delivering using DGAS tubeskid to customer location. At the Customer location, DGAS provides a Pressure Reduction Unit (PRU) to unloading gas from tubeskid to customer piping.
